Roof Washing

The unsightly black and green stains on your roof are the result of a combination of airborne fungus and tree droppings, often forming lichens that can eventually transform into moss. Beyond their unattractive appearance, these stains tend to be most noticeable on the North and West sides of your home. However, it’s important to address them not only for aesthetics but also to safeguard the longevity of your roof. If left unattended, these stains and moss can worsen over time, compromising the integrity of your shingles and reducing the lifespan of your roof. That 30-year roof warranty may no longer be a practical expectation, as the shingle’s durability has been compromised, potentially giving you only 25 years of wear before needing a roof replacement. By taking proactive steps to periodically wash your roof, you can help maintain its appearance and protect its longevity, sparing yourself the hassle and expense of premature shingle replacement.

House Washing

In the house washing process, we begin by selecting a specific elevation (side) and take care to thoroughly water down all surrounding plants and shrubs both before and after the cleaning procedure to protect their well-being. Our approach involves utilizing a soft wash technique, characterized by low pressure, starting from the gutter or shingle line and working our way down to the foundation. For the actual cleaning, we employ a biodegradable detergent that is not only effective when used with heated water but also gentle on your siding materials, ensuring no damage occurs. Our service also encompasses the cleaning of both the front and rear entrances to your home, ensuring a comprehensive and refreshed appearance for your entire property.

Deck Restoration

When it comes to restoring decks, our process often begins with essential carpentry repairs, which we entrust to our highly skilled carpenter, Dr. Rot, renowned for his craftsmanship. Once Dr. Rot completes the necessary fixes, we initiate the revitalization process by thoroughly washing all surface areas, including handrails, decking boards, lattice skirts, and any integrated seating or furniture. To accomplish this, we employ a specialized and proprietary solution designed to eradicate soiling, mildew, and mold. Following this, a thorough rinse with heated water, reaching temperatures of 190 degrees, is applied. This approach is exceptionally effective as the heated water facilitates the opening of the wood’s cellular structure, allowing for the release of deeply embedded contaminants.

Moreover, this open cellular structure facilitates the thorough penetration of our water-based stain, ensuring a lasting finish. Horizontal surfaces receive two coats of stain for added durability, while vertical surfaces are typically coated with a single layer. We predominantly utilize Solid stains due to their compatibility with lumber repairs, effectively concealing new wood and seamlessly blending it with the existing, untreated wood. Our preferred choice is the Super Deck Solid Stain from Sherwin Williams, recognized as an industry leader. While it may be slightly more costly than other options, the unparalleled longevity it offers makes it an investment well worth considering.

Aggregate Restoration

Our initial focus in the restoration of Aggregate is addressing the cracks, especially those allowing water ingress and leading to issues like slab shifting or sinking. To tackle this, we employ an electric grinder, opening up the cracks to approximately a quarter-inch width to accommodate additional aggregate stones in the repair process. These cracks are then filled with a specialized cement epoxy mixture blended with sand to closely match the concrete’s color. This blend, often referred to as our “soup mix,” is carefully applied into the cracks. Subsequently, we allow some time for the chemical bonding of part A and part B before moving on to a complete cure and robust bonding. During this process, we strategically insert aggregate stones onto the crack’s surface to help seamlessly blend them in. Once this is achieved, our final touch involves sealing the cracks with our premium-grade acrylic sealant, ensuring a visually appealing and durable result.

Paver Restoration

According to paver industry spokes people – there are millions and millions of pavers installed around the country, however most of them no longer look they way they should. They are in disrepair ( sunken in some areas ) joints failing and promoting organic growth, so the homeowners need a weed killer spray to keep them at bay every few weeks. This is not necessary, if the installation is restored professionally, using the state of the art products to address these problems. New advances in jointing technology and commercial sealant applications to strengthen the joints as well as making the surface of the pavers easy to maintain. In addition they enhance the color variations within the pavers to be highlighted to a very high appearance level and to have joint stability for years to come.

Custom Carpentry

The majority of our carpentry repair work is centered around deck restoration, which often entails removing and replacing damaged decking boards with Grade A pressure-treated lumber before we proceed with our washing and staining procedures. In other instances, when dealing with siding and trim repairs, we opt for composite lumber to proactively prevent future wood rot issues.
